Could someone help me understand how turnip profit works? Cause I thought I was done the other day and I thought I made a huge profit, but Phineas is no where to be seen. Can someone help clear up my confusion.

There's a certain amount that you have to reach before Phineas will show up. Either you haven't reached it yet or just wait for Phineas if you know for sure that you made a big profit c:

You need to make at least a 500,000 bells profit to get a badge.

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Phineas wanders the town on days with clear weather when he has badges to give the player for meeting certain goals.

It might be overcast in your town, meaning Phineas won't visit.

I've got the silver badge, and I thought I made enough for the gold TT^TT. But thank you all . I guess I have to turnip at least once more

It's based on profit. So however much you brought it for vs how much you got from selling it equals how much you got as a profit. The profit is the total amount that would be the result of how much you need for the badges. This is one of the reasons why people also make side characters, the side characters buy the turnips and your main character makes the profit basically.

The mayor locker is full with other items. To get the badge I used my spare town. They bought the turnips and dropped them on the ground for the mayor. She arrived and sold them. Got all 3 badges in one night because all the money she made was profit.

Thank you to all who helped! I just had to wait for it to be clear out in my town as I never have to mess with turnips again! Now,I just gotta lock the thread
