Okay so I've made a few hybrids and I know the ropes, what makes what. I wanna know what YOUR strategy is, planting wise, that gives the best outcome and how to get some fast. Usually I'm lucky if I get 2 overnight.

I think the most you can get is 2-3 per day? Not 100% sure but I've never gotten more than 3 overnight. I usually plant in a square with a space in the middle, water them, and maybe use fertilizer if I really want a hybrid to pop up the next day. I got SO many carnations this way, I have too many now xD

i plant 4 flowers in a group with a spot that has lots of space and water them, sometimes i plant fertilizer if i really need hybrids :) annnnd then i tt to the next day

I must be doing something wrong cause I don't get many to breed. I'm lucky if I get one per week.

Isn't the real secret to get rid of all other flowers? I mean, if there are no other flowers to breed, aren't you almost certain to get a hybrid?

toomanybunnies is right. when i bred blue roses, i sold/stored all other flowers so those were basically guaranteed to bloom. of course you should still water and fertilize them, too.

I usually plant them in a diagonal setup like:
XOXOXO
OXOXOX x= flowers o= spaces

then I water and plant fertilizer between one of the gaps. I find the more hybrids you have and the more you breed them, the more flowers you get.

This is how I have my flowers setup as well. I don't have fertilizer available, but I'm satisfied with the hybrids I get every day.

Breeding hybrids takes time, but once you have enough to work with it's almost impossible to not get any over night. The minimum I get with the flowers I have is about 4-6. It also helps to breed multiple kinds of flowers at the same time, as opposed to just breeding one kind of flower.
