On my beach I saw some hybrids were spawning but my flowers were all mixed up there so I made diagonal rows of flowers hoping to get hybrids quicker.

F is flower, # is empty space. I did not water them but I was assuming my villagers would as I have the beautiful town ordinance.

Mention: NO flowers were spawning next to these rows, let alone hybrids. What should I do??

You should start wartering them. Villagers don't water many flowers that often and try placing them in a pattern like this

You'll probably have to wait it out. Just water them daily, and eventually they will breed! It's not guaranteed that your flowers will spread overnight and the chances of the result being a hybrid are even lower.

You can increase the chance of flowers producing new flowers and hybrids by burying fertilizer nearby, if you have any.

Hope that helps!

My setup is like...

You should water your flowers and not hope that your villagers will water them for you.

diagonals have very very rarely worked for me. The best technique i've found is a cluster of 3 flowers together (touching eachother) but even then hybrids are super duper rare and impossible :(

Thanks I'll try all these, I TT through about 20 days a day on ACNL and never bother watering flowers.

watering is a must, also don't leave 2 spaces between your flowers. Get some fertilizer if you can, I find breeding hybrids easy, some days I don't have any, and the next day i'll get 4-5 new hybrids. I don't TT.

Don't put the flowers together and immediately expect a hybrid. It takes time to do it. I have never got a hybrid by diagonal, but I use this, which works:

Try watering them everyday, using fertiliser from T&T Emporium, or putting a Jacob's Ladder next to it. The Beautiful Town Ordinance might help you, but I can't say because I have Bell Boom. Just pure luck. Wait it out a bit. I'm sure by a few days you'll have hybrids.

If still no hybrids, look on the flower article of the animal crossing wiki. You might have been breeding flowers that don't work.

Here's a tip: If you ONLY want a certain type of hybrid to grow, then only water those particular flowers. Once you get two of the same hybrid type it becomes easier to grow them by placing them together.

Source: I TT a lot, so my town gets filled in a few days if I just water those particular flowers everyday.

So this way worked the best out of all, but maybe because I watered them. From 3 sets of these patterns I got 5 new hybrids in one day so I'm fine with this.
