Hybrid trading question?

So this might be a silly question but I've never traded/sold hybrid flowers before so...
Do I just plant them and allow a guest to dig them up? I for some reason thought that unless a visitor had best friend status they couldn't actually dig things up but hybrids can't be dropped so I just wanted to make sure before I try to trade or sell any! TIA~

No only best friends can dig them up in your town. You would have to take them to the other persons town and plant them. Then they can dig them up and put them wherever they want

When I've given hybrids to my friend I've always had to visit her town. I could make her best friend in mine but I don't trust her enough, I guess.
