I've been using Google on how to plant your hybrids and that they say that the sooner you start building your hybrid garden the better. I got all my hybrids down by the beach to minimize the risk of they getting destroyed by accident. (My town is only 3 days old and I don't have access to the fertilizer.)

I have some questions I haven't found answers to while using Google.

1. Do you need to use normal flowers to grow all your hybrids or can you use hybrids to get new hybrids?
2. Whenever you get normal flowers from hybrids are they different from the normal flowers that bloom by themselves?
3. Is there a bullet proof way of getting more hybrids in one day? (The most I've gotten was 3 in a day)
4. If you use fertilizer how much bigger is the chance of getting hybrids?

I also wonder if some type of the hybrid flowers are easier to get than others? Since I managed to get 3 hybrid cosmos but only one hybrid rose.

1. You can do both. Usually people say it?s easier to grow the hybrids with normal parents, by using the parents (e.g. red and white tulips for pink instead of pink x pink to get pink). While it?s supposedly easier to grow hybrids with hybrid parents (e.g. blue roses) by breeding the hybrid itself. I definitely agree that it?s easier to grow more hybrids when you already have them. Blue roses for example take forever to spawn from two spechial red roses, but once you have two blue ones they spread like weeds.
Even the hybrids with "normal" parents were easier to breed by themselves for me (e.g. pink roses) than waiting for the parents to spawn a new hybrid. In general I would say just breed the hybrids.
Sometimes however, and people still don?t fully know why, hybrids have better or worse "genes". I have pink tulips in my town and I just can?t get them to spawn more pink ones. Every day I get more red and white tulips but no pinks. I have no idea why that happens but if you encounter something like that, I recommend to just breed the parents to get the hybrid because, even though you will get normal flowers and not just hybrids, it can be more efficient in some cases.

2. N-yes? People have different opinions on this but we do suspect that normal flowers with hybrid parents have some different spawnrates for hybrids. This is espechially true when breeding second-generation hybrids like blue roses. You need to breed orange and purple roses and plant them where no villager will go (beach!), they will spawn flowers that look like red roses but they have different "genes", people often reffer to them as something like "red*" -roses in guides. Planting the red* roses together will soemtimes result in blue roses and thats the only way of obtaining them. So yes in a way, the game knows that certain flowers have certain parents. I can?t howerver tell you how that influences other, first generation hybrids.

3. As far as I know No. It?s always random. However, you can increase the amount (?) of flowers spawning from parents by using fertilizer (I assume that?s what fertilizer does, again there are different opinions online). If you burry the fertilizer with a golden shovel, it?s effect (whatever that is) will be increased. I personally don?t use fertilizer, I just take care to only water the flowers I want to spawn hybrids (while having the beautiful town ordinance) and that has always worked well for me.

4. I honestly don?t know. Maybe someone else here has clear information on what fertilizer actually does. I assume it either increases the amount of offspring for parent-flowers or it increases the rarity of the offspring. But I have no numbers on that. My guess would be that you get one-extra offspring a day, at least I have never had astonishing results from using fertilizer....

I haven?t experienced any connection between the flower species and the amount of hybrids produced each day, aside from the weird occurrence with the tulips I described above.
