How to upgrade Nooks Cranny to General store?

Hi! Ive spent over 200,000 bells there, and my house and resident services are fully upgraded. I TT but I tted back to the current date because I missed out on the bunny events, so I am wondering where am I going wrong? Thank you so much.

You need to be playing for a specific amount of days for it to upgrade. In New Leaf it's 10 days in between constructions except for T&T Emporium which takes 21 days
