I have a villager who's going to be moving out on the 8th, but I've decided I want her to stay. What's the easiest way to get her to change her mind? Will she just bring it up if I keep talking to her enough times? I'd miss her if she left ;-;

They usually tell you that their time in your town is almost over, and that's when you can either tell them good luck, or ask them to stay. Of course if you want to talk it out of them, I'm sure you can do that, too.

She already pinged and I told her she could leave. So I was asking how I could change her mind c:

Was that the first or second time? If this was the first time, then she'll ping again another day. If this was the second time, she's most likely going to leave without mentioning it again, whether it trying to talk her out of leaving, or pinging for a third time which I don't think happens.

its too late now.

I've gotten villagers to stay before after I've told them to move out. I'm pretty sure there's a dialogue option of them saying something roughly along the lines of "well, I guess I'll be gone in (x number) of days... I'll miss this place." Then you once again have the option to say "see ya!" or ask them to stay. That's what I remember happening anyway, and it's definitely happened to me several times.

They ping twice before they move out? Are you sure? I don't remember that happening. It was only the first time she pinged though, so will she ping again tomorrow?

Yup. She should ping tomorrow, just TT to tomorrow, and save+quit until she pings.

Edit: If you have more than one character, you can say no on that character, and she won't move. I find it's faster than the above method.

OH, I hadn't even thought of that. That will be much quicker. Thank you for your help :)

No, it definitely isn't.

After they ping you, even if you say yes, later on they will bring it up in conversations if you keep pestering. They say something like, "so my moving day is coming up, I've had some mixed feelings..." at which point you can tell them again either to go or to stay.

Until the point that they are actually IN BOXES, you can stop them from leaving.
