How to prevent villager's from using common designs ("duck tank" etc) in Able Sisters

Just found out about this after getting annoyed with the constant use of "shirts" and "duck tanks" by other villagers.

1. Have an empty pattern slot.

2. Go change one of the custom pattern mannequins in the Able Sister. As Mabel asks what design to use, put the empty (white) pattern in.

3. When Mabel asks what mannequin to put the pattern out with, ask it to become a hat design. You can also use umbrella or dress mannequins.

4. Repeat for rest of the mannequins.

Since the villagers won't be able to wear hats, this should prevent from the clothing of spreading from Able Sisters, minimizing the awful spread of the default patterns.

You can use umbrellas as well. I'm not sure if you can do the same with dresses, but I'm pretty sure that you can.

You can do the same with Dresses. I remember my villagers couldn't change into the basic custom design dress.

Yup, with my second town, right after I did the stuff with getting my mayor ready and whatever, the first thing I did was go to Able Sisters and change all the dumb designs there to umbrellas xD

I did the exact same thing. Lol it's all umbrellas in Abels shop in my town.

Why haven't I thought of this before! But yeah, those designs are ugly. >~<
