I’m trying to get Raymond out, and he just REFUSES. And he’s usually outside, so that isn’t the issue. I’ve been time traveling by the week and it’s July on my island 😳 anyone have any tips to help them move out?

oh and also one time he was thinking so I got excited earlier....and he just asked if I could deliver a present to judy 😭

If he is your most recent villager, then he won’t get the bubble. Also I think he won’t get the bubble if he was the last one who had it and you told him to stay. Here’s the move out guide: https://yuexr.github.io/acnh/moveout.html
thank you! He is most definitely not my most recent villager, and the last villager I told to stay was Octavian. I will check out the handbook!

The only guaranteed way to control it would be to invite an amiibo card villager to your island and choose Raymond as the villager they replace. Alternatively, if you have a camper you can reset who they will choose to replace by cold shutting down after they mention who they want to replace but without answering them (like when you shift the move thought bubble day to day). But an amiibo card villager would give you the most control over the process and be the quickest. Using an ordinary campsite visitor could be quick but could end up taking quite a few tries to get them to select the ‘right’ villager, plus a lot of spamming through dialogue and the card games.

Otherwise even the slight weighting toward villagers with lower friendship asking to move does not have a very noticeable effect on who asks to move out (I have gotten Genji’s picture 3 times and he still asks to move out all the time) so it is just a matter of time and patience.

good luck!

the campsite really is workable if you are already time traveling and happen across someone (and then maybe you can replace them with the amiibo you buy if you don’t like them). If you are willing to devote anywhere from 15 minutes to 13 hours ...you can get it done which I find easier to manage than the time travel and sometimes frustrating hunt for who has the move out bubble (on the upside you can mostly spam through dialogue and failed invites while doing other things)
