How to make bells fast?

I am dangerously low on money. Last month I had 400k from a trade, but now I have 20,000 bells in the bank and 6,000 bells in pocket... I just basically need to pay off my house and stuff, as I have no good PWPs. I know about beetle hunting but I am not clear on the exact 'technique' like which trees to chop and what time to go to the island. Any other good ways??

Catalog services and Auctions are cool ways to earn money from other people. Turnips are cool too as a good number of people are kind enough to let others enter their town once prices are high. Gathering native Perfect fruit and selling them on another town with a different perfect fruit + Bell Boom is another way on earning money.

In your situation you should just go the beetle hunting way and make bells off of beetles. That's probably the fastest way to make bells. A lot of people like to say there's a 'technique' to it, but really if you want them fast all you have to do is cut the palm trees in the south of your island and in the land part leave just one tree. In my island I have just one land tree and 4 palm trees, 2 on each side. Go to the island in the evening when the sun is about to go down and you'll find a lot of beetles. The night time is also the best time to hunt for them. If you want to go by this method, I highly suggest you have the bell boom ordinance as that will maximize the amount of bells you make. Try making a lot of trips and you'll make a ton of bells in no time!

Once you have enough saved up, maybe at around a million bells, you should start buying turnips and join the stalk market community here on tbt, and watch for your turnip prices.

Another method that helped me out was that I planted perfect apple trees all over my town. I had 3 friends help me out and pick them, and I sold them at a friends town with perfect apple premium where it wasn't the native fruit. I made 4 million bells just like that. I time traveled that same day and picked the apples again, made another 4 million. It's a lot of work but I just want to add that in there even though it's not really a 'fast' way to earn bells.

Turnips. I've been making a few million bells a week ever since I seriously got into the stalk market a few weeks ago. Buy as many turnips as you can afford, monitor your prices, and monitor the prices of other peoples' towns on these boards. Last week I sold turnips at 500 bells each. The week before I sold them at 419 each. Neither of these were at my own town. People typically ask for a tip, but you make so much profit, giving them a tip is worth it.

If you don't want to wait several days, your next bet is beetle/shark hunting or selling off rare or hard to get items you have here on these boards.

To be honest, I can make a relatively decent amount of money from just fishing in the river. There are quite a few high value fish in there.

With the money you have now I don't really know any option other than beetle hunting. You chop down all trees but two palm trees on either side of the beach. Once you've gotten about 3mil you can start turnipping which is a lot faster than beetle hunting.​

I think that could work pretty well. I have over 200,000 Bells saved in my bank but I'm poor with pocket change. I don't really want to use anything in my bank though. I want to save over a million so I can get all the gifts from Pelly!
I'll just go to the island later...usually I can earn a lot there. And maybe I'll do auctions eventually. c:

What I have done on my island is cut down all the tree's apart from 3 in 3 corners of my island then I go in a V pattern, they re spawn faster... 400k is my average earning in 1 trip which will probably take a max of half an hour.

I tried beetle hunting for the first time last night (I don't go to the island much) and I got around 200k which isn't bad. I TTd to tonight and I'm beetle hunting, about to sell to retail... i'm doing OK now

I have 2 trees on either side, beetles don't spawn very quickly but I catch a lot. I got 300k in 1hr and I filled my crate up. I'm not doing too bad for a first timer
