how to let go of villagers

theres so many villagers i want to have and experience on my island but i practically love everyone on my island now! i don't know which one to get rid of if they ask tbh. i know the ones i can never see myself letting go are hugh, kiki, raymond and ankha but the rest of them im not sure. how often do yall let villagers move?

i kind of let them go when they tell me they want to move and i have to think for a minute if i would be okay with them going away and for me, even considering letting them go tells me that I'm not that attached to them lol

As much as I love some of my villagers, I know that if I ever really want them back I can island hop for them!
