How to keep the date the same so plot won't fill

I have an empty plot right now. It doesn't look like I'm getting a replacement I want tonight(really want Ione). I have read there is a way to keep the date the same so the plot won't auto fill. Can someone please tell me how to do this? Thanks

Don't enter the game until you change the date but yes

Close your game fully every night you are done with it. When you want to get back on the next day, before you open up the game, go into your settings and change the day back by one (so that it is the same day that the plot became empty). Then you can open your game just fine!
