How to increase the quantity of lost items of the Police Station?(with Solution)

i have being waiting there are more than 5 lost items which are appeared in the Police Station...but whenever i have waited...there are still only 5 items in the Police Station...it means the upper limit is 5 items only?
Does anyone know that?

(Since i notice that are several beaches are placed in the Station..so i think there are around 10 items can be placed over there??not right?)

The limit for random items that can appear is 5; the other spaces are for items that you actually lose from villager houses, Redd's/Katrina's tents, etc. landing on top of them!

that's means lost items from villagers and Redd's/Katrina ..?. "landing on top of them" means lost items appear on the floor around those areas??

Reese...when i read ur VM of my profile....the method is i clear(pick them up) all the 5 lost items of the Police Station....then i drop more than 5 pieces of my items around villagers houses or Redd's/Katrina's tents, etc...and then wait several days ....and there is a chance more than 5 lost items can be appeared in the Police Station at the end?

No, sorry I'll try to explain better -- up to five random items can appear in the police station lost and found at a time. You can claim those items to free up space for more random items to appear. If you place items on the ground around town and a house/tent appears on top of them, those items will reappear in the police station. The remaining table spaces in the station are reserved for those items. Let me know if I need to clarify more

maybe i get it....i don't need to clear the random lost items of police station....i just need to place items (can put more than 1 piece?)on the floor(plaza) which Redd's/Katrina's tents will appear randomly.(Since there are 10 villagers in my town already and no more houses will be appear.)When Redd's/Katrina's tents appear in the area where i put items on it...those items can be appeared in the police station at last ...and there are more than 5 items are showed in the police station...right?

Well yes, but it'll just be the same items you put down. But if your goal is just to have the police station filled with items then that's the way to do it!
