Hey guys, sooo I did a thing...

This morning I decided to demolish the PWP in front of my house that was keeping villagers from parking their butts in my front yard.
Then I buy Marina, one of my dreamies, because I got a GREAT deal.
Her plot should appear in the morning, but my PWP will disappear at the same time.
Is there any way to ensure that she won't move there? I'm concerned because it's the same spot that Tank just moved out of. The PWP was temporary until I unlocked a better one, and I did, so I demolished it.
Can I drop items on the ground? Stand there all night? WILL ANYTHING SAVE MY FRONT YARD!?!?!
I swear Marina, you better not move into my front yard...
;););)

You can plot reset. You just have to load up a new save file before you go onto your main account. Exit the train station, and then look around for the plot. If you like where the plot is, finish the tutorial and load up an existing save file. You can delete the newer one after you have saved and quit on said file. If you don't like where the plot is, rinse and repeat.

nahh. unfortunately the only thing that i know of that'll stop bad plot placement is pwps. but tbh i dont really use pwps for plot resetting bc im too lazy and dont like the look of grass deterioration. im sure you'll be fine, as the odds of her plotting in that exact few acres right in front of ur house are pretty slim :)

ooh wow i just realized that u werent talking about using plot resetting! take the poster above's suggestion and plot reset. its very helpful!

Yup, checking it out in plot reset fashion would be the way to go. Of course, it requires you have a free save file but otherwise it's a handy way to make sure things aren't getting out of hand.

If you aren't that familiar with the process, follow the instructions of the above post and just remember if you DON'T like where they are then just hit the home button and close out. They'll appear elsewhere next time. If you DO like where they are you have to go through the tutorial bit until it allows you to save. Then you save and exit and go back to your mayor. They will stay in that spot. You can then delete that extra save if you would like.

Okay, that sounds doable! I've never plot reset before, though! So do I need to already have another save file, or do I have to make a new one specifically for the plot reset and remake a new one every time I plot reset? Also, say I make a side account and don't delete it. Could that side account be used for future plot resets as well, or do I need t make a new account every time I reset? That's kind of the same thing I described in the first question, but I'm asking both ways because I think my wording might be a little confusing ~~ Like I said, I've never done this before :D

You'll always need a new save file to plot reset, existing characters won't work. So yea, you have to make a new save file every time.
Even if you use a pre-existing character and turn off the game without saving or whatnot, when you talk to isabelle in the beginning, she says "Alright let me load the town for you" That's basically saving the game. So the plot of lands that were there that day will be stuck there. Hence you need new save file eachtime

You'll need to make a new file each time you want to plot reset. If you load an existing file, it'll save the town and you won't be able to reset the plot.
