How to get silver and gold cans?

Sorry if this isn't the right place to put this >.<
On the wiki, apparently you get a silver can by planting 50 store-bought flowers, and I have planted tons of flowers. It really bugs me, because I've got silver of everything except for the can, and I've even got a gold slingshot! Am I missing something? Please help...

it's not about planting the flowers. it's about buying the flowers for the silver can. once you've bought 50 flowers from the garden shop, you'll recieve the silver can for free with you 50th purchase.

I got my gold watering can by going to Isabelle and asking about citizen satisfaction

you get the gold watering can when you achieve "perfect town" status for ...um.. 10 days in a row I think? Either way, yes, talk to Isabelle about citizen satisfaction to learn what improvements you need to make in your town still. Once you get the perfect status, check back with her every day, and after 10 days in a row, she'll gift you with the golden watering can.
