How to get old villagers back?

One of my favorite original villagers, Marcel, moved out while i time travelled (didn't even say goodbye TTnTT)
Is there any way I could maybe get him from someone who's giving him away here?
I just want him back D:

You have to cycle out 16 villagers before they will be able to move in again.

If you do you can check the villager trading boards and they might be available there.

I am not 100% sure. If you are going to cycle that many villagers out what's one more. I would do 16 just in case if that's what you decide to do.
