How to get more mannequins?

I'd like to have more than 3-4 mannequins around my house, since I'm kinda turning it into a palace (with working maids and chefs/cooks around).
I've tried dropping spares on the ground outside from other characters, but it won't let me
Is there a limit of mannequins one can have? If not, how can I get more?

You can only get 4 unfortunately

each character can only have 4 mannequins each. mannequins cannot be dropped or be tradeable ):

I know your pain. I have a headless clerk in my store serving a headless customer....

The max is four, but you can try to use gyroids to substitute as people if you aren't in need to customize them.

Yep. I have Brewstoid working in my cafe...right next to the headless helper in the cafe uniform.
