I haven't played since august, and I had turnips before I stopped playing. On one hand, I don't want my turnips to die, but on the other hand I don't want to time travel one day at a time for a month. Also, on top of that, I've always had a hard time just playing the game since I've reset my town 4 times since I got the game on its release date. I really want to play the game, does anyone have tips I can use to help myself play?

Personally I would time travel to keep the turnips from dying, set my ordinance to Beautiful Town, sell the turnips, stop a villager from moving (preferably on the day after you enacted the ordinance so it'll set), and bring it to the present. I'll let other people make suggestions on how to stay interested in your town, but I think the general consensus will be something along the lines of setting goals for yourself, and whether that is useful or not depends on the sort of player you are. Some people are great at setting goals and keeping themselves busy, while others prefer all the excitement that comes with a new game. The main thing to do is to have fun, and if starting a new town periodically is more fun to you than continuously working on your existing town then that's how you ought to play.

Just let the stupid turnips die and play the game. There are ways to earn your Bells back fast, so just pick one of those and don't stress over it.

If you really cant bring yourself to play I'd say restart and play the game at a different pace or in adifferent way than normal. You can always buy turnips on Sunday or on the forums, here.

yeah i'd let the turnips die and not worry about them, play with friends here on tbt and get in the groove of things then invest in the stalk market

If you let the turnips die, I'll buy some from you. I need something rotten to catch flies, anyways.

As for getting bored, I know that feeling. I'm a serial-resetter, but I think I have finally found a town to keep my heart and attention. The best advice I can give is this:
(1) work on collecting all your dream villagers. Not only will it help you feel proud of your town and like you've invested a good deal into it, but having all of those dream villagers really does make the game so much more enjoyable.
(2) If you don't already, open up at least 1 or 2 more side characters for your game. Try to theme their house in some way (cafe, hotel, flower shop, school, biology lab, etc.) and work on redecorating.
(3) Work on fully completing your catalog and bug/fish/diving indexes.

I think the main thing that changes it from a boring, typical town to something that will hold you excitement is just working on/having those dream villagers, and having goals and a creative vision for your town's development. c:

also have "events" in your town....if you need to plant flowers..make a party out of it and invite friends over to help it really helps make things interesting street pass also helps....seeing how people decorated their houses can help you get ideas and you can order items from them make some patterns and stuff to really make the town yours

Personally, I would let the turnips just die. I would actually be more concerned about my villagers. Are there any that you really love or would be devastated if they were gone?

Unless you stopped play right after you denied a move out request, there's a good chance someone will be gone if you log into it today in real time. Food for thought. :)

I would just let the turnips die.
I'm also a serial-resetter haha in fact I just reset one of my towns haha. But whenever I get bored, resetting always makes me get more interested in the game. A few months back I spent almost two months making an amazing town and I finished the town because I was a tt addict, and when I finished it, I completely lost interest. Because I hardly played all my favorite villagers moved out and a random villager (Pierce ew) moved in and crushed a bunch of stuff in my town ;_; I got really upset and reset. So now I always play my games with no tting or tting to a minimum, I learned to take my time and really enjoy stuff c: Now I mainly focus on my villagers like getting their pictures and getting dreamies. Also landscaping! I would reset the game and get a town you love <3 A fresh start is always nice!

I agree, resetting and getting a fresh town and setting new goals keeps things interesting for me. In fact I just reset again today.. :p
