Btw, you can hit rocks faster (thereby getting more resources from them) if you put a fence (or other furniture) behind them with a space of one tile between the fence and the rock. If you don't have a fence/furniture or if you're on an island, you can also do it by digging a couple of holes. This'll stop you from being knocked back out of shovel-range from the rock.

Any color balloon can contain anything. I will say, anecdotally, that certain balloon colors tend have a higher percentage of containing an item, but don't pass up a balloon just because it isn't blue.

I recommend trading, especially if you aren't going to use your forum bells/TBT. I'm hurting for gold too, haha.

i usually find a gold nugget every time i go on a mystery island tour so i suggest trying your luck there ^^
