How to delete threads?

I was warned by friends and one staff member, I made a post I did not realize violated the rules. How do I delete it?

You can close it but not delete it, I believe.

Okay, I edited it so that it did not mention what violated it and closed it. I've done all I can! Thank you.

You can always report a post that you've made or a thread to request it closed. I'm not one of those people that will usually just delete something to cover it up (serves as a good lesson, don't it?) but make sure you read the rules before making any posts. Saves all of us time and energy.
