• Your hard work restoring The Bell Tree has paid off! A commemorative Shiny Ditto Easter Egg has now appeared in the Shop for 99 Bells.
  • Easter season is here! Here's what we have going on at The Bell Tree:
    • The egg decorating contest is back! Join TBT’s Fifth Egg Decorating Contest, now with two distinct categories: decorating and painting. Entries must be submitted by April 9th.
    • Starting this Friday at 7PM EDT, follow clues to search for eggs around the forum in TBT's Thirteenth Annual Easter Egg Hunt. New eggs will appear throughout the weekend and the hunt ends on April 6th!
    • Customize your profile by spending bells on any of our three recurring backdrops.

how to change usertitle color after purchasing

Normally (on TBT 2.0/before the 3.0 site upgrade), you'd go into your collectibles inventory, click "Edit" (or something of the sort) on the "User Title Color Change" item and then you'd input your hex code exactly as it is and check the live preview to see if it worked. The item is single-use only, so if you input it wrong and forget to check said preview it'll have gone to waste.

I don't think you can use it just yet though, as everyone who bought/owned said item before the site upgrade has had it hidden/disabled by staff since there was an issue regarding it (and a few other things) last night when the shop/collectibles system was brought back to the site.

Just wanted to let you know that it's finally fixed (I noticed it was back in my Inventory recently), so you're able to use it now! Please make sure to follow the advice I mentioned yesterday before you save any changes to it.

so I did that and now it's being shown as a collectable?

Yeah, that's how it works (since it's technically a collectible item), but you can hide it once it's active. They're currently looking into making them activate without the extra step in the future.

Here's a quote of a post one of the staff made last night in another thread:
The user title color change items have been made available again. You will also be able to see what colors the items use by clicking them in your inventory. There seems to be a bug with activating them at the moment because you can't just make it active: you have to make it both active and unhidden. Then it will turn on and you can hide it without removing the color. We'll look into making them work without this extra step though.
