how to bump a post ??

this might be a dumb question but how do you bump a thread?? i've been trying to bump one of mine on nook's cranny and it just keeps merging with my most recent post and not bumping the thread

You have to wait a certain amount of time before the last post you made I believe. I think it was 2 hours? Or more in Nooks.

For Nook's Cranny, the time limit is 2 hours. For the rest of the threads, it is 4 hours!
