How To Become Re-Obsessed With The Game?

I've been busy updating my first town, Applewin. (I'm referring to interior items in human houses.)

I haven't obtained new Dream Addresses for any of my three towns. (The other two are ACNLpics and Foster.)

It will take some time.

But, I plan to get them up.

The game is for everyone, not just kids. I've seen fully grown adults play Animal Crossing, some of which are obsessed with it.

The game is for everyone, not just kids. I've seen fully grown adults play Animal Crossing, some of which are obsessed with it.

Yeah, it's so addictive and fun. I guess I'm not as old as I think I am...and some days I feel ancient haha.

But I agree with the others, a fresh start would be good. You get to experience the nostalgia of starting all over again, re-experiencing first setting up a town.

If I can find me copies by the new year (meaning my OG copy which I want to reset) by the New Year I am going to try desperately to do the year long challenge, even if I just play for a super short time per-day I want to rekindle my ACNL blog and probably do a cute pastel town again like my first town(but with the cute new stuff too.) I picked it up for a minute after the update but once I got pokemon in the mail that was over. XD This year I am going to try to have a "schedule" of stuff to do in a day so I can both get back into the games I used to play, try to learn french FOR REAL, take a class online, and work on art stuff like I haven't done in so long. So hopefully that will work out for me, I used to play ACNL all the time but lately I've just been meh on everything, thank you depression, so I'm hoping I can get back into the things that make me happy!

Question...

I wondered about starting over again, does that mean I lose the Club, the Shops, have to re-capture every bug etc etc? Essentially losing all achievements?

From my understanding, yes, you do lose the Club, the Shops, have to re-capture every bug etc. But with the update, you can sell off your town for a large amount of Bell's and start over with however many Bell's you sold your old town for.

I guess if you don't want to completely lose your progress, you could always start a new Save File in the game which is almost like starting over again, but you're living in your same town so you have access to shops but still have to recollect bugs, fish and diving creatures. You can share furniture, clothes etc. with your original character too.

And no, you're definitely not immature
