how to always get pings for pwps?

You need to safe and quit and restart every half hour, or villagers will not ping due to you needing 'a break from playing too long'

Here is one : buy the timer from the T.I.Y shop.
Do NOT let your self be seen by your villagers for 5 MINUTES
(Best way to do this is to swim in the ocean)
Make sure not to go inside houses or at mainstreet. It will reset and won't work.
Make sure to empty your pockets and bring less than 100 bells. It is not necessary,but just to make sure that your villagers dont buy from you or they dont sell you items.
After 5 minutes is up,walk in front of a villager,they will ping you,and they might ask for a PWP

Notes to keep in mind :
There is a chance that they will ask to change their catchphrase,so best thing to do is just do the steps over again.
They can only ping you a PWP once a day.(this has not been confirmed)
Only certain villager personalities request certain PWPs (eg. Crankies only ask for Zen PWPs)
There is a chance they will not ping you at all.
Just keep trying

It is better to have a full inventory of an item that can't be bought from an npc than to have an empty inv. Why? Because with a full inv they can't give you free stuff or try to sell you something.

Fill your inv with bells.

That method is quite time consuming for me. I don't even bother to do it.-Lazy Personality-

If you're doing it for a specific personality pwp suggestion then good luck to you. It takes long enough just to get any suggestion but to look for a specific personality you could easily be doing this method all day.

Well,I believe the main point is to make them ping about PWPs,and it will actually speed it up. Because lesser chances of them pinging you about items=Bigger chance to ping about PWPs. Unless you actually care about what they are selling :3 Don't fill your inventory with bells though. It will be a hassle to put it back in the ABD. I suggest fill it with flowers instead.

Yes, with an inv full of bells it removes even more options than just an empty inventory so the chance of getting a pwp suggestion is higher since they very rarely don't ping you with this method.
