How soon can i recruit a villager from the island?

Queenie has asked to move.. I'm wondering if I have to wait till tomorrow to start seeing villagers at the island or not

You have to wait until she's completely gone and the plot empty

You'll have to wait 2 days if she asked to move today. Once the plot is empty villagers will start showing up on the island tours.
