My town's name is PuttPutt (Mini golf themed) and so far I haven't seen anybody else with the name. Not sure if that's a bad thing, but I for one like my town's originality.
I am the absolute WORST at coming up with town names. My Wild World town was called Hatland because my character was called Hattie D: both terrible names.
My City Folk was called Loveland and I legitimately have no idea why.
I didn't want ot pick a ridiculously stupid name for my New Leaf town because I never ever reset my towns, so I decided to name it after a song. I opened my iTunes and searched "city" and "village" and the only results were the Village People (YMCA). No thanks! I searched "town" and the song Capetown by The Young Veins was the only result. It's a gorgeous song, and I generally like songs written by Ryan Ross anyway, so I named my town Capetown. It's my least stupid name so far! The only problem is that a lot of people think I'm actually from Capetown in Africa and guess the complete wrong timezone.
My town's name: Harvest (cuz my real name means "to harvest")
Then one of my friends asked if I play Harvest Moon. I was like "what's Harvest Moon?" OTL
Just checked the Dream Suite, and there isn't a single Rideaux on there, and given how I came up with the name, I'm not surprised. I looked up my old town name of LaRousse though, and there were about a dozen on there, plus my old town itself.
Versails should be pretty original, based on where I live but a lil short cx

Area9 is the exact number of refreshes I did before I settled on that map. It's better than area 234 xD
Mines not original at all but I don't care. I can't really think of a name that would suit my town any better and I knew I wanted to have Star in the name so I could reuse one of my old flags.
It's funny though because while there are a lot of towns on the dream suite with the same name as mine, I've never seen anyone on these forums or ACC with the name.

I searched and mine is the only town named Wendelon. aw yuss
