I can't wrap my head around it x3x I keep seeing people with 10m+ bells and I'm like... Well, I've never had more than 500k x3x I don't get what I'm doing wrong. I understand that people sell Merengue and Marshal etc, but not everyone does. The only way I can think of is attacking beetles, selling them, depositing them into the bank and repeating. Or TTing... x3x

Any tips? D: I can't do the turnip thing because they're sold 6am-noon on a Sunday and I work xD I don't like my game being out of sync with real life time and I won't TT to get them, so they're out of the question x3x

I got most of mine through turnips and bug hunting on the island at night. Those and selling popular villagers are probably the best ways to make large amounts of bells.

Bug/fish hunting on the island.. Turnips.. Selling popular villagers.. And then a fairly large culprit is duping, but that's frowned upon really, since it's exploiting a glitch

Turnips is my main profit nowadays, but I used to make at least 500K a night just bug hunting. I knew what bugs were worth the most and took home a full basket of just those two bugs and sharks :3

Not to accuse anyone but duping and TT'ing are ways to gain a large amount of money.

Selling the shells from your beach you can earn 1.000-2.000 each time. Add some fish from the sea and fruits from the trees and you'll find 200.000 bells in your bank soon enough. But it's not about paying off your loan as fast as possible, it's about enjoying the game. Rush it and you'll find yourself being bored in a month.

I *had* 130m but down to 88m now (bought a lot of stuff recently). I've never sold or bought a villager. Got all my money from running a shop in the retail section of the forums. It takes a lot of organization, planning, and patience to run a big time shop. And constant buying/selling/trading with lots of people. But it's tons of fun!

You could start by opening a small shop and selling excess items/sahara/fossils and art. Oh and street pass items. Then work your way up to buying rares & DLC for cheap and reselling at a higher price later.

Well I got 700k by harvesting about 14 x9 baskets of perfect fruit and then selling them at a premium at re-tail and non native fruit :3

I got my first 10 million from bug hunting on the island. EVERY night. Like KerryElizabeth I was super-selective and usually made 500k a night. I invested in turnips after that for a bit but it's even more work since you usually need to find another town to sell in.

Most of my money is made these days on perfect fruit, my friends and I sell in each other's towns to make more money at it. But now that my main house is paid off I go a lot slower.

I know duping can get lots of money, but I never understood why people think TT'ing gets people a lot of money. I TT all the time, and I've got most my money from buying turnips in real life time and waiting for someone with a high turnip price, not TT'ing. o:

Oh, and turnips is one of the best ways to get lots of bells. There's also trading rare items in re-tail. c:

Thanks for all the tips guys! I do have a little shop in Re-Tail selling off the Nintendo items I'll never use, but nothing else seems to sell xD I have no idea how to get street pass items x3x I've got loads of AC street passes, but I've never ever had an item from them O-o I used to TT in WW and ended up with loads of money xD Deposit 100k, say, TT 10 years, get the profit, TT another 10 years etc. Loads of weeds, but it was easy to sort out if you had time. My plan is to pay off my loans and get the biggest house I can first. Then I'll focus on making it into a house (my main room is a mess x3x) and working up the HHA ladder. Then look at developing my town. I've visited so many with flower patches and orchards, paths etc. I wanna do that xD But I won't until I've got all my dreamies, then I know a villager won't come and plonk their house in the middle of something important T3T

I have gotten all my money from turnips. I buy like 2 mil bells worth at a time now and I can bring in over 10 mil. Since you are unable to buy turnips in your town, you can always try to find someone who has a town on Sunday morning. I have a second town that I use for TT or whatever I feel like. If you want, you can send me a PT and I would be happy to put my town on Sunday morning for you.

Wellllll part of that is Nintendo items aren't super profitable anymore. A lot of people already have all the items. Try reading other sell threads to get a feel for what's selling.

The Streetpass items you get by entering the HHA showcase & when you see other players chars you streetpassed holding items, like a balloon, talk to them & they'll give you the item they're holding.

Edit: One thing you can do is for quick bells is when Sahara is in your town, save before talking to her & keep reseting till you get a desirable wall/floor. Like Lunar Horizon or the Sci Fi wall/floor or tatami. Then go sell for 500k easy. If you have multiple chars, then do it on them too.

Agreed, the Nintendo stuff is not really desirable any more. I think Halation is right, your best bet for selling is Saharah items; or real art. Also non-orderable DLCs if you have extras. Those are things that a lot of people are still looking for.

As for the streetpass items -- you only get it them people you streetpass over and over; if you streetpass lots of people but usually only once you won't see anything.

turnips, beetles, duping, selling overpriced vilagers

Also - I saw your shop; I think you would sell more stuff if you put prices on everything. A lot of people hate playing the guessing game of making offers and will just keep looking for another seller.

Turnips. If you can't buy them because of real life restrictions you shouldn't be too hard on yourself and just TT a few hours to buy some.

I only got palm trees left on the island and I go there for bughunting. You can get a full basket in like 40 minutes tops and sell it for 300/400k. Especially at night, cause then there are no locusts. I have two characters, one has a very empty locker I can fill. They also have seperate baskets at the dock, so you can also leave it in there if you want until retail opens. Then just sell it, its a easy (but boring) way to earn a quick million+. But its easy to combine with watching tv, listening music, etc. :)

Turnips. I got 10m bells in only 2 weeks one time with very little effort because of this. You just have to have enough money to be able to buy a ton of turnips (500k-1 million preferably), look online and find someone who has turnips selling for 400+ (preferably over 500) and then sell them there. I could've made even more if I literally had my entire locker open for turnips.

You can also get 300k-500k per trip when you go to the island for beetle hunting.

Another way to make money is to sell rare stuff you have on the ReTail board here. Don't just throw away duplicate real paintings. Sell them. Sell duplicates of BugOff and Fishing Tournament furniture. Sell island items. Anything non-orderable is best.

You can also plant whole orchards of perfect fruit and then sell them in someone else's town when ReTail has them at a premium. I don't do this one because I don't have room for tons of perfect fruit trees (I do the rest above), but it'd also be a good thing to try.

I don't dupe or sell villagers, so this is how I make money.

turnips is pretty much the most efficient way to make money, but if you have the patience, bug selling or perfect fruit selling in other towns, like in my forest town on my physical copy, i have enough perfect fruit trees to make 1.7mil every harvest in a foreign town.
