I've been using my current phone since fall 2021 ( a little over 3 years) and someone else had previously used the phone for a bit before I got it from them. Still working okay for now
Last year, I got my newest phone, a standard iPhone 15, to replace my old iPhone 12. The screen is brighter, and the camera is better, but otherwise there aren't any changes I considered major from the switch.
my current one is one that I got in April 2022, so almost three years ago. my previous phone was from 2016, and I used it for six years; I'll probably end up using this one until it gives up the ghost as well haha.
the only gripe that I have with this one (a Galaxy S22 FE) is that the camera is awful. if I get a new one I will make sure that it has a better camera on it.
My current phone is an iPhone 14, which I got for Christmas 2023 I think? It'll definitely be a while before I need to get a new one. The only issue I have as of now is my front camera being cracked and blurry, which can probably be fixed easily but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
I am terrible with phones. My iPhone 15 pro is now two years old but the battery capacity is 85%. Could be better, but not usually a bother. The back glass is all cracked and sometimes the front camera doesn't work... I would not get a pro over a normal for my next iPhone.
Back to the terrible with phones; I had an iPhone 6, survived a long time and upgraded to the SE that came out in 2020. The hard drive on that phone died in 2021... then I have had used phones that never had any problems... second new phone I ever got, 15 pro, and the back glass shatters three days out of my AppleCare extended warranty... but I guess it's okay because you can never tell unless I take my case off.
