How old do you think your villagers are?

So Ankha mentioned something in a conversation (I think most snooty villagers might say this) that got me thinking, she said "wow, gave me a flashback to my cheerleader days!"

Also, Bob pinged me with a question, which was "hey, what age do you think you become an adult?" I said "40" and he goes "that's great! That means you can make money and spend all your money on comic books and sweets!"

It kinda makes me wonder, how old do you see your villagers? Or even the NPCs?

I know that you, as a human, are quite young; I was talking to Boone in the cafe, and the question "when did you start drinking coffee" came up. I said "a long time ago" and Boone's reply was "what?! You started drinking as a child?!"

For me:
Ankha = 30+, maybe 40?
Bob = mid 20s
Bluebear/ Chrissy = early 20s
Fuschia = late 20s
Fauna = early 20s
Hamphrey = 50+?

That's kinda all I got right now.

I find it hard to place smugs within the age bracket. Sometimes I imagine some of them to be smooth 50+ (like Clooney haha), sometimes I imagine them as naive 20 somethings trying to flirt with everyone lol.

Interesting idea! I never really thought of my villagers as being particular ages, since they're animals ^_^ I know the snooties talk about not wanting to get older, but generally to me they seem to ageless. Well, other thank the crankies, who are basically crochety old men ^_^

See, the reason I don't think anyone is under 18 is because I'm thinking in human terms, lol.

I don't see 14 y/os living on their own, moving away from home and setting camp in some random village. That's just me though; maybe it can be a species thing where certain species of animal mature faster and therefore they move out at a younger age.

This is my personal opinion and it does seem a bit unrealistic since some of these ages wouldn't live alone in our world

Sprinkle - 10-12 (peppies seem the most childish to me)
Ankha - late teens (snotty bratty teenager who always seems to be at Sprinkle's house "babysitting"
Chevre/Tia - 30's/40's (the moms of the town always looking out for everyone)
Muffy - early 20's (a young adult trying to find her place)
Fang - 50's/60's (the old fart of the bunch)
Beau - late teens (just wants to eat all day)

Not listing the other villagers i have currently since they'll be cycled out but here's who i'm bringing in

Pietro - maybe 30's? Idk
Biskit - mid teens

From what I've seen I'd say that lazies are the youngest and snooties and crankies are the oldest with the rest somewhere in the middle.

Although, Sven is a lazy and he looks to be a 100. lol Maybe he's just young at heart.

My town strikes me as:

Kyle: 18
Pierce: 22 or so
Caroline: 20
Mallary: 30
Portia: 27. I don't know why; she always struck me as younger than Mallary.
Vladimir: 35-40, though his appearance strikes me as a young teenager.
Deli: 10. A little more mature than Erik, though not by much.
Erik: 8
Victoria: 13. She kind of strikes me as your typical young-teen fangirl.
Pashmina: Also 18. Older than your player character, but still young enough to be more of a sister figure.

As for Fashion's issue with being unable to envision animals younger than 18 living alone- if I may offer my own input; I see it as less of a village and more of a pack. Each member looks after one another- which would explain your neighbours giving you gifts and asking you to get food or run some other errand- thus, an older member like Vladimir or Mallary could look after a younger member such as Erik.

I agree with this ^_^ I never really thought of them at specific ages, just who was older than whom.

It's not concrete, though. Sometimes they seem more like children, whereas other times they're homebodies who just want to write poems or collect new furniture.

The cranky villagers all talk like they're old men, I've noticed. Hmmm. Headcanons on all my villagers specifically:

Klaus: Early twenties. Maybe 20 on the dot, who knows.
Marshal: Mid twenties. No idea why he strikes me as being older than Klaus; I think most would see it the other way around.
Static: Forties, maybe early fifties. It's just how he talks about everyone else being kids~
Kid Cat: Late teens, maybe early twenties. How does he have so much energy?
Punchy: Late twenties, maybe? I see him as being the equivalent of some lazy bum who dropped out of college because he'd rather snack and snooze through all his classes...

Pecan: Early to mid thirties.
Carmen: Late teens - early twenties.
Agent S: Late teens - early twenties.
Deirdre: I'm guessing mid twenties.
Pekoe: I'm torn when it comes to this one. I can see her being late teens just as easily as late twenties or thirties. Her personality suits pretty much any age group.

I've never thought about it, but I do think of some as being older than others.

Chief seems like the oldest in my town. Shari, Cousteau (he's the hardest to place, possibly younger), Soleil, and Coco seem middle-aged, while Erik, Tangy & Papi seem like teenagers or kids.
