How often does Re-Tail restock?

How often does retail restock, mine has been empty for about 3 days and i am trying to get the sloppy furniture.

Pretty sure it's all random and depends on a villager wanting to sell their furniture. Re-tail is based on whenever someone wants to sell rather than getting new stock like a normal store.

I believe you will only get sloppy furniture if one of your villagers has it in their house and decides to put it up for sale.

Im not sure when, but good luck! Im pretty sure you need villagers to have the furniture in your house to get it into retail!

Just to refute the two posts above, none of my villagers have ever had sloppy furniture in their houses, yet I've picked up two from Re-Tail. In a year of playing, mind you.

Re-Tail doesn't stock itself. The villagers stock Re-Tail.

Yes it`s random, and my peppy villager put sloppy and cardboard furniture up for sale in retail, and she never had them in her house, so it is possible but rare.

I thought villagers either only started putting up sloppy furniture once they've emptied out their houses or their "inventory" of any other furniture?

either way, it's all random and sloppy/cardboard furniture is even moreso, although they don't need to have some in their house to put it up

Oh, I forgot to mention, if you have the police station there is a chance for sloppy furniture to appear there as well.
