How often do you go into games blind?

How often do you go in blind to new games?

Most of the time I buy games because I see a Youtube LP. Sadly, I always know what will happen.

I don't like to ruin the game but I like to research it a bit to make sure I'll at least like the game before purchasing.

This.
Since I dont normally rent games, I've gotta know whether it's really worth my money.

I try to play a game blindly, but nowadays, it's hard to whenever my intrigue in the game (as in, watching gameplay footage and the like) spoils later occurrences in the game. Of course, I'm trying to get around that- right now, I'm avoiding any footage for Xenoblade Chronicles, which is what's interesting me at the moment.

I like to look up a bit of info before I go into anything. If I want to play a game, I look up gameplay videos to see if it looks worth it. When I want to watch an anime or a movie, I usually look at other peoples reviews. Not just one or two, but lots of reviews.

Depends on the game and how much I care about it. This usually happens with a series, so I'm not sure if it's considered going in blind. Sometimes I'll buy a game because the case looks interesting, but that's not very often.

It's very easy for me to go into games blind because I don't have social networking accounts and I don't ever bother to look anything up except the release date and maybe a few other things.

Pretty much this. The only social media I have is Facebook, and I very rarely use that. The only time I don't go in blind is if it's a popular game that's been around for a long time and everybody I know talks about it (there are very few games like that for me, though).

I never go in blind. I usually read reviews and look up some gameplay.
I usually go in blind if it's a company with a good track record.

For example, Clover Games/Platinum Games. I enjoyed God Hand, Okami, Viewtiful Joe and Madworld, so I can confidently buy Bayonetta 2 blind.

I can't afford to waste money on a game that I won't like so I definitely like to look into it a bit before buying, but mostly just reviews and the trailer. It ruins some of the fun for me if I look up all the info on the game, though.

I rarely, if ever, play a game blind now. If I don't get a guide with it, I found one online beforehand. I have to look at ever review I can find to make sure I'm going to like it before I waste my time & money on games.

Most of the time, yes, I'll go into a game barely knowing anything about it. Watching the trailer (and reading a couple of reviews on it if I'm undecided) is usually enough for me. :) I enjoy them a lot more if I don't have any expectations. Can't get disappointed if you don't know what the expect!

Never. Usually I only buy games I care about so I wanna know everything about them.

When I got MH3U though I defs went into it blind, I had no idea what it would be like, and the actual game was very different than what I expected. I honestly expected some ****ty developed boring ass low standard game with crap graphics, and something I'd get bored of after a week, and to my surprise it wasn't that and I was incredibly happy with how it turned out, which was good because the only reason I got it was for a full black 3DS XL. If that bundle never existed, I never would've played the game (or knew it existed).
MK8 was another one, but that's only because I don't care about it. I don't think I intentionally watched any gameplay footage, unless it was in a Nintendo Direct video when I was rewatching the conference (but even then, I never cared enough to actually pay attention, or even remember what I watched). The only thing I knew before the game was released (and before I started playing) were the characters. I didn't know any of the stages or kart customization until I played them myself, and I had no idea stickers even existed until I unlocked them myself.

As for upcoming games, I haven't actually watched/learned anything about Hyrule Warriors, I basically just know the characters, and nothing more. I did watch some demo gameplay back when E3 was on, but other than that, nothing, so whenever that releases (late September??)) I'll probably go in blind (though I will browse through all the playable characters once it releases in Japan).
SSB4 is another one, other than characters, I really don't know anything. I honestly don't even know any stages that are going to be in the game, and I'll probably keep it that way until the WiiU version releases.

Almost never. I usually know all that's been revealed before I get the game, even without any social networking accounts. That said, I still enjoy the games as much as the next person!
