how often do villagers mention their old home?

it’s a weird thing that has always kind of bugged me a little bit on the older games (it’s silly I know!) and it’s the only reason ive been grinding out tickets for island hopping. do they mention their old islands frequently in NH?

I haven't had that happen yet, and Julian and Diana both come from another island. If it does happen I assume it's rare!

I adopted Bangle from another island and she never once mentioned her old home whenever I spoke to her. Maybe it's really rare, or maybe they don't mention their old home at all. But I do know villagers mention other players from other islands that come over to visit your island, and that does bug me a little lol
