How obsessed are you with AC:NL?

I don't know about you guys, but I'm utterly hooked! D:

How often do you play? When you're not playing the game, how often are you on TBT? When you're not doing those things, how often do you think about AC:NL? Planning your town, what you need to do next, which dreamie are you hoping to find, searching/looking for AC:NL content on the internet, what do you need for your dream home...

I'm not ashamed to admit that I can spend almost all day playing! But recently I've been really into cycling villagers in my second town.

I've been avoiding all my real life responsibilities a bit too much - and now my fianc? has hidden my 3DS's! xD


I'd really like to hear what you guys do! (Perhaps to make me feel a little better too! xD )

* 9/10 dream villagers
* 120 mil in the bank
* 4 characters with full paid houses
* 80% full catalogue

unfortunately, in September of that year, I lost that town due to an informatic system problem
(one of my games, town of Paarl, is "in-built")

it took nearly a year to more or less get it back

Oh no! I would be so upset if that happened to me! That's a lot of work you put in! I probably would have had a tantrum. Probably not as bad as this though! xD

I think I have a playtime of about 150 hours or so now, and I'm only halfway through completing my second house xD. I don't have any of my dreamies yet, I have less than 20 million bells in my bank and I'm currently redesigning my town with trees, flowers and PWP's. I'm pretty slow at this xD

My Fiance is getting jealous too, he feels neglected haha I am always planning and love having people over, it's just so much fun!

Don't worry, I just remind him of all the time he spends on our laptop! That's the reason I bought the nintendo.

I have played a lot since it came out. Probably more than I should. I'm also guilty of focusing on it more than my actual life stuff. lol I did a lot of town resetting....but as of right now...I am downloading a digital copy of the game so I can have two towns. I'm on a 2 week break from college classes so I figure why not?

I'm the same, I like to play the game when I'm stressed out - unfortunately though I'm procrastinating a lot with it and now I'm really behind with Uni work!! Not such a great combination!

I think I enjoyed the game a lot more when I took it slow... now I'm so hooked on time travelling and cycling I hardly seem to play the game properly anymore! All my villagers are like "Hey Emily! Haven't seen you in like a week!" And I'm like "I'm here every day!"

Good luck with your second town! I'm thinking of getting a third!

I'm quite obsessed. XD I got 850+ hours in the game and still am using the town I started with 2 years ago (99% done with it as well!). I'll probably be making a thread in the near future when I finally get a Dream Address.

WOW! 850+ hours?! That's insane! That's more than 35 solid days straight! I do feel a little bit better now xD

I play ACNL every day! If I miss a day or two, I also set the time back when I am able to play and make up those days. That's the only TTing I do in my game, except for those days where I miss a store closing by mere minutes--then I'll TT back an hour. xD

As for the forums, I check in at least once a day and usually have it open while I play.

There was a thread recently where a user had mapped out their town in Paint (or another program). So I spent an evening doing that. Now I can plan my town even when I'm not playing! It also inspired me to miniaturize my map so it can be displayed in-game on a sign PWP. I think it will look super cute! My obsession with ACNL is more of a slow burn - a few hours every weekend and 15-20 minutes on weekdays, but always with consistent dedication and enjoyment.

I've never saved over 1.5 million, I rarely upgrade my house (only two rooms right now, but I like it that way), and I'm mainly done with landscaping. Still, I've had this town for over a year, and have yet to become bored in the least.

It's a peaceful place where everyone is friendly and kind, where I can shape the world to my tastes or just watch it change freely.

ACNL is something I'm very dedicated to, but maybe it's not QUITE an obsession.

I play every day too but a lot less than before, I've had my town for 5 months and I've slowed down a lot. I don't have goals, just been working on dream address casually.

I try my best to play it every day since I got it in February of this year. I think I'm pretty obsessed with it. I managed to get all my dreamies so far! Lost a few stragglers along the way. I think knowing there's an online community helped with getting me more into AC:NL, because there are others who feel the same way, and enjoy communicating. We're all just cool kids playing on our 3DS(es). But anyway, the longest I've been without it was four days (since I was busy with school)...

I have 509 hours invested in it and I've had the game since December 26th of last year. That should say something.

Alot. Right now I'm working on my side players badges. The guest town side players are having bad luck with the scorpion.
It's one of three they need to complete the golden net.
