How much time did you spent in New Leaf so far?

The game is out for ~6 years now and of course, if you play the game since it's release,
I guess you spent (like me) a lot of time into it. I would like to know: How many hours
did you invested in New Leaf so far? Or what was your record when it comes to the
playing time? Did you took also breaks or even stopped playing the game? Note: What
I mean is not the time you spent in the same town, but in the game in general.

I can't tell the correct time I spent into the game, as I also played it on various 2DS/3DS
consoles over the time, but I'm pretty sure I spent about 2000+ hours so far in it. I play
the game since it's release, but I never kept the same town. Since I don't have a 3DS
anymore, play more with my Switch and also lost interest in the game, I stopped playing
it.

That post has certainly been making rounds, everywhere I go I see it haha.
I know of at least one person who has more hours on here; I can't remember exactly but I think it was more than a thousand hour difference.

Still that's insane though hahaha, I've got just under 500 hours but I was very late to getting the game. I'm willing to bet I will easily spend thousand of hours on the one coming for the switch

For sure, it's also counting my AFK time too so there's that to account as well. (I'll just close my 3DS to do laundry of something, still needing some StreetPasses.) I can't wait to spend eons on the Switch game too, really hoping for some inventory sorting as I know most of my time is spent doing that haha.

I've been playing it off and on over the last 4.5 years, and I have about 900 hours in it right now. But as for games like AC:GCN, I've easily put in over a thousand hours. Idk if it's just because New Leaf has less of an appeal to me. It could also be because of... well idk how to explain it but basically how "customizable" the game is.
