Why would anyone have a forum as their homepage, as opposed to a search engine...?

Anyway, Cuil is my homepage, but I never really use my homepage. If I want to search something in Cuil, I just type "c [words to search]" in my address bar. And my Top Sites come up when I open a new tab, not my homepage. This is my top Top Site, though. XD
