I suggest you remove everything from your pockets, except the 1 natty shirt, maybe even carry more than one at a time and around 3,000 bells. That's it.

Now what you can do is make sure lolly is walking around town, not in her house and play the idle/swimming game until 5 minutes pass and try to run pass her so she pings you. She'll either ask you to change her catchphrase, request new projects or ask to rip you off and buy your natty shirt dirt cheap.

Also, so it doesn't happen again, maybe you fill up the sable's sisters shop with your own designs that you actually like instead so if they do change into any of the designs there, you wouldn't have a problem with it.

Hmm, maybe when she asks for furniture you give her the one shirt you want her to wear? ahah probably won't work but the town hall can reset her catch phrase and clothing I think, or time travel to her birthday and hand her the shirt as her birthday present? o: it's probably all random I guess, good luck!

Haha I feel that pain. If you send her a shirt you can always reset (with a new character like how you plot reset) until you find her actually wearing it. It's totally random.
