I’m female. I don’t really mind who I play with as long as the person is nice and isn’t hard to talk to, dismissive or not particularly nice…so I don’t care if male or female, just if the person is someone I can vibe with, u know? Also, I would genuinely love to make more female friends irl who like animal crossing. It’s very hard for me to make friends nowadays and I’ve only really played video games animal crossing pokemon or otherwise with guys, so it would be awesome to meet some female gamers for me right now. All the female people I know in my life right now have no interest in video games. so… yea. lol

I'm not too surprised at the fact that there is a lot of girls here. The majority of the hardcore gaming population is still male while a lot of girls enjoy casual gaming now and then. Animal Crossing or The Sims 3 are good examples of "casual games". It's cuteness factor also adds to that, I guess.
My friendlist is mainly populated by females too. All the guys I have on there stopped playing weeks ago, sadly.

That seems pretty fair, I agree ! I think animal crossing is definitely more styled to be cute themed, but it can be a mix of many things I guess. But yea I wholeheartedly agree - it’s harder to find girls who play hardcore action fighting games etc, though to be fair I’m a girl and I like some horror games like Omori, though I’m not as obsessed with them, as long as it’s interesting and engaging as a game, so yea!
