I wish you could find out without updating, I don't want to update until I've finished moving all my PWP and actually water all my flowers the day before.

I don't think you need visits to keep the address - just update at the dream suite regularly. As I understand it, both have an influence on whether your town gets purged, so if you just keep updating, you should be safe
