How many days until a new villager moved in?

Well, I restarted my new copy of New Leaf, and I wanted to know how many days it takes until a new villager moves into your town (A town were you just started) so you have 9? I think I worded that wrong, but, I wanted to try the villager reset trick. uvu​

Between 1-3 days it seems to be for me.

I'd say that sounds about right. It seemed like every other day someone new was moving in, when I first started my town.
