How many Bells should I sell Stitches for?

Trading Stitches for your dreamies is a very good idea, but if you do sell him for in-game bells, expect multi-millions (15-20). Stalls is right, though, giving away a villager free makes you feel great! I once had Marshal, an extremely popular, in demand Tier 1 villager, completely original, and I could have made a lot of money on him, but I lurked around and found someone who seemed to be nice/polite and had been trying to get him for some time, unsuccessfully, and I randomly PT'd him and offered Marshal to him. He was very surprised he was absolutely free, especially being 100% original, and he was extremely grateful. It felt really good to help someone get their Dreamie
