How long does it normally take you guys to be able to open a shop? An item shop? (I don't have a single amiibo card, but would love to open a villager shop at some point)

I just really want to be able to help people get items they really want. I know I am super new and right now I am a long way from having anything, but I just wanted to know roughly how long it would be until I would be of value?

Thanks. <3

It's up to you :p I'd say a shop would consist of having options :B So, I don't think you need a whole bunch of stuff, but maybe at least 3-5 options for people to choose from? Of course it depends on what you're selling, but overall, there isn't really a set number to have a shop :)

Opening a villager shop without amiibo cards might be a bit difficult, but you can always do what we used to do, have a cycle town. This requires you to have a second copy of the game though, as you cycle through villagers quickly and post whatever is in boxes to your thread to see if someone wants them.

If you wanna start a flower shop it depends on how quickly you can start breeding flowers, especially hybrids. If I started from scratch and didn't TT I probably wouldn't start until 1 month+ just to stock up. If I did TT, less than a week depending on playtime.

When you're at the store, buy literally anything there. Even if you don't want it, you can just sell it after. That way anything in your catalogue can be sold in your shop.

I would love to have a cycle shop. Maybe I can figure out a way to get a second copy of the game. I think that would be really fun. That would allow me to help out while I collect amiibo cards. :)

Thanks for the help guys. I'll just be patient and go slow. I guess I'm just concerned that the popularity of the game and of this forum will dwindle. I'm new to the game, but most of you guys are veterans.

Something else you can do is keep any extras of non-reorderable holiday items, fossils, and real art to sell. For example, the Bug-Off is today in-game for a lot of people. There will undoubtably be people who don't get the full set and will want to buy the pieces they are missing.

Wow, thank you! That was really helpful as I didn't know that.
