How long does it take for grass to wear?

I want to make dirt paths leading to my campsite, but I'm not sure how long it takes for grass to wear out... I know it's not as fast as it was in City Folk. How many days usually does it take to get something? Are there ways I can do it quicker, or do I just keep running along the same path for hours?

2 months max, if you run up on the grass 5 times i think. i would outline with flowers/ trees and not put paths when trying to make the dirt path.

I'm not sure, I guess there is no set number or time for it to happen. I have only had a little bit of grass wear in the main parts of my town after running freely for about 3 weeks...so it takes quite long :/

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's about a month or something but it depends.

Just wanted to add that grass wear takes longer if it's been raining or snowing for more than a day - precipitation makes the grass grow back faster.

Dirt paths seem difficult, but I think it might be easier to make them by putting down patterns, running over them for a few months, then pulling them back up. Having no guidelines (paths) for where to run might be difficult.
