Anytime I have a space open ,I seem to get a nasty villager from another town. The villager is never in boxes on the day I visit. They have already moved out. How many days does it take before it is safe to visit their town after a villager moves out?

I am not sure how long, but potentially until they are 'adopted'? I got Bree from my boyfriend's friend's town, and he said she had moved out months ago (he also hadn't been playing actively in a long time, I was just testing my WiFi out).

Argh. That's horrible. Does this mean that anytime you have a free spot or a new villager you have to lockdown your town?

Potentially, but don't you only get the voided villager if you visit another town (so I think having visitors would be fine?). Sorry if I am wrong! :D

I read cyclers saying that they didn't want visitors with recently voided villagers because they get stuck with them. So I assume it's a 2 way data street

Yes. ; A; You lock everything down: streetpass, wi-fi, everything.

I've had my fair share of wi-fi and streetpass move ins so I'm very paranoid whenever I have a spot open now.

I heard it helps that the person with voided villagers do a lot of wi-fi or streetpassing with other people with full towns. It "erases" villagers from the void the more they wi-fi.

This is why I almost never void villagers. I think the only one I've ever voided in my new town is Chops (maybe Leonardo too, but I think someone adopted him??). < w>; I don't want people getting unwanted villagers from me.

Sometimes voiding villagers is unavoidable though. I always try to give away my unwanted villagers, but didn't get any takers for the delightful Rocket for example. :p

I agreed this. I desperately want to let Paula get adopt but I check through TBT search, nobody within this 3 months ever had their Paula adopt except the only one shouting to want her is me (yea previously lol) so I end up voiding her =( sad...

And during the void process I accidentally TT a month backward so when I TT back to the actual date, Paula didn't go to any town, cycling or not, I even try that with Zell when I lost him in a month TT accident, he don't go to any town I visit, and none of them go to any, any other town even with 9 villagers.

Aww, that is sad. :( I have no idea if my voided villagers (Rocket and Naomi) have gone to any homes or not!

This is the most horrible news I've heard all day. I thought there was a vulnerability period that could be passed.

I was wrong.

/goes to sit in corner

I am sorry to have to bring the unpleasant news! :p

I was already a ball of paranoia and now I'm even more of one!! ;A; At least streetpass doesn't exist around me but I wifi like a nut /sobbing

Yeah, Bella moved out of my friend's town sometime last year, and then I stopped playing for a couple of months because I wanted to reset and was too lazy, and when I finally did reset and my friend stopped by I ended up with Bella. It had been at least two months since Bella moved, possibly longer.

i asked this same question & someone told me it may help going to a town that has 10 villagers already, apparently the game tries to send the voided villager to the town but it can't so it gets removed from the void pool. i'm not sure if it's true or not but i figured i may as well try it. & i don't think that voided villager has went to anyone (obviously that i know of)

it really sucks, i'm not mad if i ever get any voided villagers as i know sometimes it's almost unavoidable.
also i got tangy, lol. not bad~~~

edit: of course, if people are receiving animals months after playing then it looks like that isn't true, hm. feel bad to whoever got my hopper!

on that note though, i notified a cycler that they may get my voided villager and they didn't mind in the slightest :)

I think that's true. I had to void Cookie to make room for Erik, and I sent my mayor of another town to try to save her from the void pool. It was the same night, but I never got Cookie. I think it's because, to get Erik, the mayor with Cookie had to go to a town with 10 villagers, and it crashed her against the rocks, so to speak.

I turned off streetpass from my digital copy so I wouldn't have to go through my villagers twice!
I also do petitions through local wireless if I don't have a full town. In my experience, they haven't moved in from local wireless visits, only streetpass and/or internet.
I would actually appreciate more information on that, because if I'm acting out of superstition, I'd like to save myself the trouble.

I don't now really but I have to pause my game (like stay on the one day) because my sister had many voids that I hate.
So until I find a villager I want to move in, I can't play my main town due to paranoia D:
