How long did it take you to save 100,000,000 bells?

I bought the Japanese game in December 2012 and reached the 100,000,000 bells mark at the end of May 2013. All the bells were made by island bug/shark catching.

I don't think I've even reached that mark yet! I get really lazy about going to the island, so it's taken a while to pay off my housing upgrades and I didn't have much extra while I was doing that...

Wow, thats impressive. Most of the time, its turnips, but you did it the hard way! Myself, it will take probably a year more.

I've probably had altogether 100,000,000~ But as of right now I have about 35 million in my bank. < all that is from stalk market and tips from letting people sell turnips in my town

Most I've had it about 40mil.. I am not sure I have the patience to get to 100mil. Someone gave me the post office ABD for free though so I am not too bothered.

I've never achieved 100,000,000 bells.
My goals in the game aren't really to earn money, though. I usually just spend my bells on PWPs and house loans. I'd never have that amount of money. I know that for sure.
I should also mention I've never saved more than 2m bells in my savings account.

It took me 5 months, but I don't know what to do with them! I've already paid off one house, so I'll probably use the bells to buy hybrids, pay off the rest of my houses, and pwps.

Omg, I only had 20 million at max, all from selling rare bugs to lazy campers. Money go away quickly when you need to buy a full set from Gracie (with some extras) or expand design mule's house.
