How long did it take you to get the golden slingshot?

I got mine on my 2nd day playing because I hit it with my net when it hovered over a cliff. Apparently you have to shoot or hit at least 14 balloons to be able to find it but I don't recall even seeing any other balloons when I got it. Was that normal?

I thought it was pure RNG, but I'm not sure. I think I got it within a few weeks or maybe months in my first town. But in my second town, I went for over a year without seeing the golden slingshot. I finally got it last week!

I think I got mine after a few months and yes, I think shooting down 14 presents gets you the golden slingshot.

I got it before the silver slingshot, I'm not sure why. I think it's actually based on RNG and not how many balloons you shoot, otherwise I would've gotten the silver one first.

I think I got it a month or two after starting up. I certainly remember constantly being spammed by the balloon that held them, lol

I got it about a month into the game. I remember popping a golden balloon (which I already assumed contained some golden tool) and, alas, it was the golden slingshot!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's no easy or quick way of getting it. Just keep popping balloons until you get it. I also managed to get the gold before the silver.

I think I got it somewhere in the spring of 2015 (just the time where I slowly but surely started playing the game more fanatically), and it took a little while before I finally shot it out of the air with my cheap single-pellet slingshot, but I did succeed, and boy was I happy with it! Now, shooting presents out of the air has become so much more convenient since I don't really have to aim at one certain/exact point anymore.
