How long did it take you to find your dream using first campsite reset method?

So my new town am searching for a dream, I figured would old fashioned new camp cycle her in..well I have been through 133 animals almost not counting those in my town as there are 333 possible..and I know it can take a while. On average do you remember how long it took you? Also, I am not sure if it is a glitch but on the first ever campsite day I didn't know you could ever get a repeat and I've gotten a couple. I forgot how frustrating it can be..Oh well cycling the camp onward..200 more, hopefully she shows before that I only made a list long enough for 133 but she has to show sometime right . I do wonder about the repeats though never had that before...

You can get repeats on your campsite at any time.

I've never heard of most people doing campsite resets to get one specific villager, it's not common. Most people who do the campsite trick do it to get a villager from a set or to find a 10th villager they don't hate.

Can you just adopt your dream villager instead?

F O R E V E R.... and then I found this forum But yeah, as cool as the campsite trick is, you could do it forever and not find the one dreamy you are seeking. That said, I found new villagers who *became* dreamies: Zucker, Kid Cat, Moe and so on

Took me two IRL months to find Kyle (I wasn't doing the typical campsite reset though, I did it a bit differently). And then my town was full grrrrrrrrrrr so I adopted him from this site. You should try that! Who's your dreamie? I'll keep an eye out for them if you'd like.

i wasn't on the lookout for a specific villager, i was originally planning on not having a campsite but after genji moved away i needed another jock so i thought i'd try the campsite trick, after a couple of tries i ran into bam who i decided to keep (although i later let him go) so i was pretty lucky

When i first started playing new leaf i really did not know any villagers. Rosie camped in my site pretty early, and i invited her. Now she is my favorite.

Well I know camp resetting is hard but this is my first camp..I mean the first day it is up every reset there is a new animal so I've never had repeats or heard of it on first site day..but I've been through about 250 so hoping she pops soon. This Is using the first ever camp trick always a new villager not sure why repeats as it shouldn't happen with first site..may need to switch the ds am using for some reason but will going on marking them off as I go watch she will be the 333rd lol I really wanted her original, it shouldn't repeat on first time I've had a few towns that's never happened..odd.

I've found dreamies through the campsite, but never through campsite resetting. I've found dreamies from villager resetting, though!

There was a big guide when the game first came out about how on the first campsite every reset was a different villager no repeats this has always been true I am wondering as my one ds has been acing up after I scanned a qr code from someone if maybe it's that I've always gotten number ten by camp resetting but only the first ever camp are there never any repeats I'm wondering if I should change ds machines while keeping track..repeats takes too long..

I haven't seen mine, Fauna. My first one was Diana though. I fell in love with her. I wouldn't dream of letting her go. If she's ever in boxes I wont be letting her go for little.
