How long did downloading new update take for you, please?

Had to leave my switch round my neighbour’s connected to her Wi-Fi as mobile internet was painful. Will an hour be long enough to leave it before I knock again, please? And when it’s downloaded will I just be able to pick it up from my neighbour and play, or will I then have to wait for something else eg installation? Can I do that over mobile internet if so or will it be too painful haha? Please and thanks for any help! Desperate to play this update asap, it’s 6:30 pm now and don’t want to miss any first day stuff if possible!

I think that an hour will be plenty! Overall it took mine about 15-25 minutes, I wasn't paying attention to exact timing but I know it certainly had not been an hour!

Around half an hour. For me at least. I only have acnh, fortnite, and miitopia on my switch, and miitopia and acnh are both game cards.

v2.0 took about 15 minutes for me. The Switch has slow Wi-Fi speeds. My phone could do 3GB in maybe 3 minutes.

I honestly can't remember. It was somewhere between 10-15 minutes for both the regular update and then later the dlc. I went to do other things, so it was done by the time I checked.

I live in the sticks so it was a very long time. Like 8 hours x_x I think I read that it was around 3.5 GB in size if that helps you do the math at all for how long it might take you.

Mine took thirty mins but that’s because I encountered a storage error thing where my SD card didn’t have enough space at first or something that’s why I needed to delete some stuff and redownload the update.

Amazing, thank you!! I’m so jealous!! Picture this - logged onto here last night and found out update had come out early, very excited. Connected switch to my mobile internet as dont currently have Wi-Fi. After about an hour or so the bar was a couple of mm complete. Then ran out of mobile internet so went to buy more. Wouldn’t let me as outstanding bill payment. Fine, I thought, so phoned up to pay the bill. Paid bill. Still wouldn’t let me as was saying it was outstanding, for hours afterwards. So had no internet at all last night and no update. Tried again this morning, it worked, yay. So thought great, brought my switch to work in my bag and left phone in bag with mobile hotspot active. Checked back at lunchtime, still connected, halfway complete. Worked out it should be finished by end of work. Checked back at about 4pm, next opportunity. Had disconnected and must have been for a while as was still only about halfway. Reconnected it. Checked back about an hour later, it had disconnected again and if it had got further it wasn’t by much. Gave up as only had an hour left till I got home, so when I got home knocked my lovely neighbour who let me use her Wi-Fi for my apple watch before and we always help each other out. Switch is now round hers and I’ve nearly lost the will to live in the process haha. The dedication us AC lovers have!!
