I just want to know how large the Picnic Blanket PWP is... I have a good spot for it, but it's kind of cramped since I have a sandbox and park clock in the area. I may remove the park clock eventually to get room, but I would still like to know how much room I should have to place the Picnic Blanket down.

Does anybody know how many spaces I need in order to place it?

I think it's 2 by 3...
like this:
XX
XX
XX

But idk

It also needs 2 spaces all around it I believe

Here's a quick picture of the area I'm working with:

I have a feeling I can't fit the picnic blanket anywhere in this area without having to remove something first. :c

Sorry to ask this in your thread but can your villagers use the picnic blanket :/

EDIT: Also try laying down patterns where you want your picnic blanket to be and see if you have spaces round them

I'm not sure... I don't have it unlocked so I have no idea.

Also, that's why I'm asking if anybody knows how much space I need in order to put it down.

You can visit my dream town to see the actual size of the picnic blanket PWP (DA: 5500-3571-6746.) It is located below the right side of Auralee's house. I believe what Wholockian stated is accurate.

The picnic blanket is 2x3. Remember that other PWPs need two spaces between them and the blanket, so it's a pretty big area you'll need.

Arrgh I doubt I'll have any room at all, then. Unless I remove that sandbox PWP... I may find an entirely new area for my small park to be in since it seems like the area I'm working in won't work at all. :c

Sorry, I mistyped and it's 2x3.

As for whether they can use it, I've never seen one sitting there, but that doesn't mean they can't.

You wouldn't want some sand blown in your food anyway.

True. I actually have a better idea on what to do with the blanket, so I'll keep the sandbox where it is and put a jungle gym or something in there to make it more like a "kiddy park" or something. :3

It is 2x3, not 3x3 unless Isabelle treats it like one. I'm thinking the wiki made a mistake.

I'm certain you need an extra 2 spaces on all sides in order to place it, though. I posted a picture of my work space on the front page a few posts down... I'm fairly certain I don't have enough room even if it was only 2x3. :c

Yeah, I'd consider putting a jungle gym there. A picnic basket can be put somewhere more personal; away from distractions.

heres a small pwwp guide

as you can see it needs a total of 20 tiles (4x5) evven though the actual pwwp is 2x3

What happens is, every PWP has a one space barrier on all sides, and the barriers of two PWPs can't overlap. That's why you have to have two spaces between PWPs. I'm having to deal with it right now in my camp area, and no solution will be what I want. :(
