Just wondering- how have your dreamies changed since you got the game until now? Have they even changed at all? Do you even have dreamies?

Here's mine from when I first joined TBT:

What about you?

Not tons actually, I've only switched Ruby for Bonbon because when I got Ruby I didn't love her as much as I wanted to, and her house exterior began to bother me

I now have Colton instead of Jacques.
Olivia and Purrl were my original snooty dreamies, but since I recently lost Olivia, I decided to replace her with Amelia since I've always wanted Amelia.
My normal dreamie has changed from Sydney, to Chevre, to Savannah, to Poppy.
My peppy dreamie has changed from Dotty to Bunnie to both and then to just Tammi.

edit: forgot my jock dreamie! Changed from Peck to Sterling to Rod.

when I first started playing I came across Chrissy in the campsite, lost her when I stopped playing for a while, then cycled back for her and tried to get both her and Francine before I restarted. They don't really go with my current town's style.

I joined this site in the beginning to get either Lucky, Bones, Biskit or Walker... but that never happened. Instead I got some other cute villagers along the way. My first town is basically completed so I want to fit one of the dogs in to my second town before I get attached to other villagers that move in.

They've changed massively. Here's my original dreamie list:

Kyle, Knox, Shari, Pierce, Clay, Savannah, Lucky, Ankha, Rooney, Victoria

Now compare it to my current dreamies, 9/10 of which I have... Kyle, Pierce, Erik, Deli, Lolly, Vladimir, Victoria, Mallary, Caroline and Pashmina. Only three of them have remained the same.

I didn't make a dreamie list since I tried not to look up too much prior to getting NL but there were a few animals from previous games that I knew I wanted. Once I had 8 villagers in my town I decided to pick out the last two from animals I never had before, it was a hard race between Gala and Julian for the 10th spot but I got Julian first.

I never really had dreamies. I just wanted Kabuki. He was my favorite since my first AC game, Wild World. Now that I have him I'm content.

Short answer: Not much, mostly because I don't set a limit of 10.

This is my current top 18 in alphabetical order, exceptions excluded.

Long answer: I keep an Excel document* which numerically categorizes how I much I like each villager's appearance, personality, house (exterior, interior, and music), and how much 'work' it would take to make their home more appealing. Their average score automatically ranks them, and I can sort the list to show the highest-ranked villagers. I do make exceptions of convenience though. Lucky's house is awful, and I still don't like his wallpaper/carpet after replacing most of his furniture, but him moving in (without camping) on a perfectly-located plot was too good to reset. With him and Shep, I now had to bump Butch since I didn't want 3 dogs. The same thing happened with Freya when I already had Skye.

I also wrote a small program that compared two villagers side-by-side, then ranked them according to whom I chose most often. It was similar to the Pokemon Comparer. However, Excel is easier to change and keep track of. I've used this document since the GameCube version, adding columns as necessary.

All that said, the top 15-20 ranks change frequently but the top-of-the-top candidates have been pretty consistent since I started playing in March. I also try to keep them diverse in terms of species and personality.

... I think I'm some kind of monster. Some horrible, analytic, systematic monster. Like an accountant and a bureaucrat filed the necessary paperwork and procreated.

*(seriously)

no i dont have dreamies ^_^ but i will contribute this answer because you asked if the general public even have any dreamies

Hmm...mine's changed around everywhere...I took out Merengue and a ton of others, and I added in some like Shari (I'm not really a fan of any other uchi), but Marshal and Molly are two that have always remained :)

Most of my initial dreamies now reside in my 2nd town - I transferred them there to keep them safe. My initial dreamies were, for the most part, villagers I had in past games. Then I decided to branch out into some of the new villagers in New Leaf, who are my dreamies in my main town.
