I know Tom Nook can't build villager houses on top of patterns, but how close to a pattern can he build one? o:

A villager can plot right next to a pattern. Also, some useful info, a villager house only needs a 3x3 space to plot. They can also plot surprisingly close to some buildings and cliffs.

They do seem to prefer having 2 spaces around them in all directions, but it's not a restriction :v
